Eyssards `Mano a Mano` Blanc
Eyssards `Mano a Mano` Blanc
- Winemaker: Flavie Cuisset
- Country Of Origin: France
- AOC: Bergerac Sec AOP
- Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc , Semillon
"Combines a classic French label with a back label in English describing the wine style and giving suggestions for food matches. Dry, medium-bodied, zesty, refreshing wine with apple and citrus notes. Its fresh acidity makes it an ideal aperitif, but it would also be very good with lighter fish or chicken dishes."
Pat Carroll, The Irish Times.

"A wonderful fresh aromatic Sauvignon, given perfect body and weight by the addition of some Semillon. This would leave most Chilean and New Zealand Sauvignon trailing in its wake.
The ripe green fruits and dry finish make it a great all - rounder."
Wine of the Week, John Wilson, Sunday Tribune
"Bergerac, lying just outside the confines of Bordeaux, can offer some great value wines. The whites in particular are worth looking out for. Based on the Sauvignon grape, as used in Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, the best are fresh, aromatic and crisp. The Chateau des Eyssards is a perfect example, with floral grassy aromas, light green fruits on a racy but stylish centre-palate, finishing dry. Great by itself or with lighter fish and seafood. As an everyday wine I don`t see how you can do any better".
John Wilson`s Pick Under EUR10.00, Sunday Tribune Magazine
"If I had to tip one winegrower for future greatness it would be the uncompromising Pascal Cuisset of Chateau des Eyssards."
Andrew Jefford, Financial Times
"Crack open a bottle of this excellent fresh, crisp dry white, with its rounded apple fruits and zesty notes of citrus.
Quite amazing value."
