Ciu Ciu is a remarkable family winery in the Marche region of central Italy, farming over 100 hectares organically in the hills above Offida. The Bartolomei family have been making wine here for generations, and their commitment to indigenous varieties and sustainable farming is evident in every bottle.
Oris is made from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo — a variety that at Ciu Ciu's hands produces a wine of depth and genuine personality. Deep ruby with aromas of dark cherry, violet, and spiced plum, the palate is rich and full-bodied with well-integrated tannins and a long, satisfying finish. Wonderful with grilled lamb, pasta with wild boar ragù, or a medium-aged pecorino.
