Portugal is one of the most exciting wine countries in the world, with a vast range of indigenous grape varieties, ancient vine-growing traditions and an extraordinary diversity of terroirs. Wine lovers know it's not just Port this country is famous for (although that remains pretty damn good). Winemakers here have largely ignored the famous international varieties in favour of indigenous grapes, which makes Portuguese wine all the more interesting. The Douro Valley is home to Port, one of the world's great fortified wines, but also to juicy, fruity and spicy dry reds and exhilaratingly crisp whites. Our Douro range comes from Quinta do Crasto and covers both sides: dry reds, whites and rosé, alongside Late Bottled Vintage, 10 Year Old Tawny, Colheita and Vintage Port. Beyond the Douro, Vinho Verde produces some of Europe's most refreshing white wines, particularly from the Alvarinho grape; the Dão adds characterful reds; and the Tejo offers both red and white.
