Semillon Wines

Outside of France, Semillon is at its best in Australia’s Hunter Valley where it stands alone or forms a blending partner with Sauvignon or Chardonnay.

Semillon’s secret weapon however is its ability to achieve a sort of super ripeness (from noble rot). It develops flavours of barley sugar and nectarines and is the star behind the famous classic dessert wines form Sauternes.
