"The Marche region in north-east Italy is one of the most overlooked in the wine world. There are good reasons to pass by the Marches quickly, not least of which is that large portions of it are flat, plain areas. Worse has been its propensity for producing - or rather, over-producing - mediocre and blanc wines. This would be hard to bear if you were the only wine-producing region but - being encircled by tuscany with its Chianti and Montalcino, and Venice with its amarone and perky pinot grigio - the Marches region`s task to make its mark on the wine world is doubly difficult. So, when you taste this steely, well-elaborated and clean white wine with aspirations towards something from Alsace or the Loire at only ?9.00, you will recognise a delicious development. Excellent with a creamy pasta dish or smoked salmon."
Tomas Clancy, Sunday Business Post.
"Some pleasant lifted aromas, nice broad mouthfilling fruit and a good dry finish. Well made wine with a bit of real interest. Serve with chicken salad or prawns."
John wilson, Irish Times.
"I fell in love with Tebaldo Ciu Ciu the minute I smelled it - a soft, gently persuasive chardonnay and pinot blanc blend with a pleasing buttery tang."
Blake Creedon,The Irish Examiner.

"The bestselling Ciù Ciù (‘choo-choo’) is made organically by Walter Bartolomei and his team in the hills of the Marche, on Italy’s Adriatic coast. His wines are among our greatest discoveries, offering Mediterranean flair and flavour at a price that makes them accessible to all. And, if you were curious about the name, it does indeed translate as ""choo-choo."" Yes, as in a train. A name that pays homage to his grandfather who was involved in the railroad. Ciù Ciù wines are certified organic and vegan and Walter continues to pursue sustainability through wastewater, energy and biodiversity projects. His wines use Italian speciality grapes like Passerino, Montepulciano and Sangiovese. These grapes thrive on Walter's vineyards, producing wine perfect for easy enjoyment. He strives for fresh, light and fruity wines which offer more drinking and food pairing options. Just some of the reasons Ciù Ciù is a favourite for parties and among our most popular wedding wines."View All Wines by this Winemaker
