Four Sisters is a multi-generational family winery in Rutherglen, in the north-east corner of Victoria, Australia. Named for the four sisters of the founding family, the estate has been farming these warm, fertile valleys since the nineteenth century — and their Shiraz captures everything that makes Australian Shiraz so compelling: rich, honest, and deeply satisfying.
Deep crimson with enticing aromas of blackberry, dark plum, pepper, and a note of dark chocolate. Full-bodied on the palate with generous fruit, soft tannins, and a warm, lingering finish. A crowd-pleasing Shiraz that punches well above its price — brilliant with barbecued lamb chops, spiced beef, venison sausages, or a hearty stew.

Alister Purbrick
The man behind Four Sisters and Tahbilk, Alister Purbrick is one of the best-known winemakers in Australia. The Purbricks are founding members of Australia's First Families of Wine, an exclusive group of uniquely historic wineries. Tahbilk was established in 1860 in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria. The property lies on fertile river flats along the Goulburn River. The name 'Tahbilk', rather appropriately, directly translates to 'place of many waterholes'. Today, Alister works closely with his daughter Hayley to bring a carbon-neutral strategy to the winemaking and viticulture at Tahbilk. Hayley is the fifth generation of the Purbrick family to make wine at Tahbilk.
