Tahbilk Shiraz Goulburn Valley Australia
SKU 12450

Tahbilk Shiraz has a superb welcoming nose, with sweet plum and blackcurrant fruit leaping from the glass with a cooling menthol influence. The palate is juicy and refreshing, full of bramble fruits, with some light spice and dry oak eventually appearing. Balanced tannins and acidity support the flavours.

Alister Purbrick
The man behind Four Sisters and Tahbilk, Alister Purbrick is one of the best-known winemakers in Australia. The Purbricks are founding members of Australia's First Families of Wine, an exclusive group of uniquely historic wineries. Tahbilk was established in 1860 in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria. The property lies on fertile river flats along the Goulburn River. The name 'Tahbilk', rather appropriately, directly translates to 'place of many waterholes'. Today, Alister works closely with his daughter Hayley to bring a carbon-neutral strategy to the winemaking and viticulture at Tahbilk. Hayley is the fifth generation of the Purbrick family to make wine at Tahbilk.
