Susana Balbo 'Nosotros' Malbec Argentina

The Nosotros line celebrates the efforts of all the people who work daily to make this wine. It is a representation of the best that Balbo wines can accomplish as a team, as a family.

Each vintage, Susana and her winemaking team chooses the best quality grape from a specific vineyard to create Nosotros, one of the few ultra-premium Argentine Malbecs that can boast impressive power with incredible balance and refined structure.

Only a limited quantity of Nosotros is made each year, therefore every bottle is special and unique. It is considered the winery's selection of selections. Wine collectors must have a bottle in their cellar.

Classy and layered nose, showing minty blackberries, black sour cherries, cassis, cigars and minerals, following through to cocoa powder and fine-tuned balsamic savoriness. A medium-to full-bodied red with wonderful freshness, juicy fruit and poise on the palate. Incredibly long, focused and immaculate. Really well-rounded, complex and persistent. Real harmony and length.

The 2019 Nosotros Single Vineyard Nomade Malbec was produced with grapes from Paraje Altamira (Finca La Delfina), but each year it can be sourced from different vineyards, hence the nomade in the name. The vineyard is around 25 years old, and the grapes fermented in a 6,500-liter oak vat with indigenous yeasts and had a 30- to 35-day maceration time, then matured in French oak barrels, 80% of them new, for 16 months, including malolactic. There's something earthy about it, and it's still marked by the oak and has some lactic undertones too but with moderate ripeness, 14% alcohol and very good freshness and balance to develop nicely in bottle and absorb it.
