Jean Gardies
Jean Gardiés represents the 7th generation of this family estate in Roussillon's northern Catalonia. Farming 35 hectares across three historical terroirs—black schists on Espira-de-l'Agly, limestone on Vingrau, and clay-limestone on Tautavel—the estate has practised certified organic agriculture for nearly 20 years. Their organic conversion gave rise to Mas Las Cabes, where vines thrive near the Pyrenees amidst black schists, scrubland limestone, and the fragrance of the garrigue. Both their structured red and white Mas Las Cabes wines and playful cuvées like On S'en Fish ("we don't care") reflect a passionate commitment to wild nature over market-driven trends, crafting wines of exceptional elegance, concentration, and authenticity.
