Paul & Marine Charavin
Didier Charavin is proving to be one of the stalwarts of this region. He produces a wonderful classical wine that is textbook for the region. His wife appears to be the powerhouse of the couple, dealing with the business side, which is very common in French viticulture. Didier, on the other hand, concentrates on the job at hand and devotes himself to his vines and wines. Ambitious is a word regularly used to describe Didier, and this shows in his decision to make his own wine after taking over the reins from his father in 1985. He has since built a solid reputation for well-made, powerful and Chateauneuf-du-Pape like wines for a fraction of the price.
