Château Gaudin Pauillac AOC Bordeaux France

Pauillac is the most concentrated expression of left-bank Bordeaux — Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, with a firmness and depth that distinguishes it from any neighbouring appellation. Château Gaudin is a small producer on the northern fringe of Pauillac, farming traditionally and producing a wine that punches above the volume of its production.

Blackcurrant, cedar, and a note of graphite on the nose; full-bodied on the palate with firm, fine tannins and a long, structured finish. This is a wine that needs time — decant for at least an hour now, or cellar for 3–5 more years to let it fully express itself.
