Jo Landron is one of Muscadet's great winemakers — biodynamically farmed, hand-ploughed vineyards near La Haie-Fouassière in Sèvre-et-Maine, no chemical fungicides, determined to make the best Melon de Bourgogne possible with as little interference as possible. The result is Muscadet of a completely different quality level: mineral, age-worthy and a revelation to anyone who has written the appellation off.
