Señorío de Rondán is an estate in Quel, in the Rioja Alta — the sub-region considered home to Rioja's most classically structured wines. This Tinto is their everyday Tempranillo: straightforward, fruit-forward, and honest.
Aromas of red cherry and ripe blackberry on the nose, with some oak-derived warmth on the palate and a smooth, satisfying finish. A genuinely drinkable Rioja that earns its place at the table. Great with lamb, grilled meats, or a simple stew.

Rondan is the name of the particular vineyard from which the grapes for these wines are cultivated. This winery has developed a reputation for making exceptional wines at about half the price of other independent producers in the area. The grapes are harvested by hand, and temperatures are kept low during fermentation, again ensuring the freshness of the fruit is maintained. Both the Crianza and the Reserva have the potential to age for quite a few years. The Reserva is made from the very best grapes in the estate, some from vines over 80 years old. These vines produce small quantities, but it is the concentration and quality of the grapes making this wine outstanding.
