Danielle Meunier is an extraordinarily meticulous wine producer, whose work is respectful of the environment and of the winemaking traditions in the region. Her cave is impeccably organized and scrupulously clean. The vineyards are tended with the utmost of care and her obsession with, and dedication to, these vineyards enables Madame Meunier’s Haut Ségottes to produce exceptional quality year-in and year-out despite the vagaries of the weather. The wines of this estate capture the essence of the artisanal craftsperson. Danielle Meunier continues the work of four generations past and is always aware of the constraints, as well as the potential, of nature. Her viticulture is thorough and she is constantly looking to previous years' experience, while at the same time she realises "you have to accept what nature gives you".
