San Simone is a family-owned estate in the Friuli Grave DOC in northeastern Italy, where a cool continental climate with warm summers produces elegant, aromatic white wines. Winemaker Piera Martellozzo oversees a range that champions both classic Italian varieties and international grapes with equal skill.
This Pinot Grigio is a beautiful example of how good the variety can be in the right hands and the right climate. Pale copper-gold with aromas of ripe pear, white peach, and delicate almond. The palate is medium-bodied and textured with gentle acidity and a clean, pleasingly mineral finish. Delicious with risotto, grilled white fish, chicken with herbs, or a light pasta dish.

Antonio Brisotto
The Brisotto siblings, Chiara, Antonio and Anna are driven by family pride and passion. They are the fifth generation to make wine in their Friulian vineyard, and carry on the work of their mother Livinia, and the generations before her. Their belief is that wine is not simply made by know-how, but requires passion, sacrifice, patience, sensitivity...and fantasy! This is something that cannot be learned in school, it must be part of your make up, and forms the instinctive, innate ability that characterises the best winemakers.
