In 2007, Château Thieuley decided to plant Syrah and Chardonnay (two varieties forbidden for the production of Bordeaux AOC). And just next to them, Francis Courselle, a great fan of truffles, grew more than one hundred truffle trees on a soil said to be adapted to them. Hence, the name Les Truffières.
This characteristic top-class Chardonnay is a yellow-bright colour showing good minerality with flavours of almonds and honey. A very round mouth with a lot of richness and good persistence.

Marie and Sylvie Courselle
A true gem, Château Thieuley is a family-owned estate that has been in the Courselle family's hands for 75 years. This family has always balanced tradition and modernity, investment and respect for what already exists. Through its dynamism, its sense of innovation and adaptability, the beauty of the estate, and the quality of the wines it produces, Château Thieuley is regarded as the leader of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. Today, it is run by Marie and Sylvie, who grew up on the estate and learned the trade alongside their father, Francis. Together, they have become the beating heart of Château Thieuley, a pioneering and leading property in many respects. Marie, connected to the land, and Sylvie, the traveller, embody the joy of life in this Entre-Deux-Mers region waiting to be (re)discovered. These two passionate winemakers produce a wide range of wines, from fresh, vibrant expressions to great classics. With generosity and commitment, in the spirit of our beautiful countryside, they challenge traditions and reimagine the landscape, sharing their world with an innate sense of hospitality.
