Inside you might find a wine fermented in clay amphora instead of steel or oak; a grape variety so obscure it barely appears on most wine lists; a natural pétillant that bears no resemblance to anything you’d find in a supermarket. Some of these producers work exclusively with indigenous yeasts; others use extended skin contact to create extraordinary textural whites or orange wines. All of them have something genuinely interesting to say.

A true gem, Château Thieuley is a family-owned estate that has been in the Courselle family's hands for 75 years. Today, it is run by Marie and Sylvie, who grew up on the estate and learned the trade alongside their father, Francis. Together, they have become the beating heart of Château Thieuley, a pioneering and leading property in many respects. Marie, connected to the land, and Sylvie, the traveller, embody the joy of life in this Entre-Deux-Mers region waiting to be (re)discovered. These two passionate winemakers produce a wide range of wines, from fresh, vibrant expressions to great classics. With generosity and commitment, in the spirit of our beautiful countryside, they challenge traditions and reimagine the landscape, sharing their world with an innate sense of hospitality.
