Jerome Rouaix's vines couldn't sit any closer to the Mediterranean — just outside the town of Mèze on France's southern coast — and his wines wonderfully capture the sun and sea in fragrant, food-friendly whites that achieve real balance and freshness despite the southern heat. His Viognier in particular reaches a beautiful expression that shows rare skill in this warmth-challenged region.
