Feteasca is a family of white grape varieties native to Romania and Moldova, including Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Regala and the aromatic Feteasca Neagra used for red wine. The white Feteasca varieties produce aromatic, medium-bodied wines with flavours of stone fruit, green apple and floral blossom, often with a touch of honeyed richness in riper styles. Feteasca Regala in particular is valued for its versatility, capable of producing both dry, fresh whites and richer, off-dry styles with good ageing potential.
