Alfredo-Roca

Four generations of the Roca family have turned a passion for wine into a lifestyle, farming nearly 260 acres in San Rafael, Mendoza, at altitudes of 2,300–2,600 feet above sea level. The altitude and cool nights give Roca's wines exceptional freshness and balance for wines of such concentration and depth.

Alfredo Roca represents four generations of one family's commitment to wine in San Rafael, Mendoza, where they farm close to 260 acres at altitudes of 2,300 to 2,600 feet above sea level. The combination of high altitude and cool desert nights gives the grapes long, slow ripening, which translates into wines with real freshness and balance alongside their natural concentration. The heart of the range is Malbec, Argentina's signature variety. The Roca Malbec shows the dark fruit and supple tannins typical of Mendoza, while the Parcelas Originales Malbec is a more serious selection built on old vines, showing greater depth and structure without losing that high-altitude lift. Both are made to be enjoyed rather than admired from a distance. Wines Direct also includes a Roca Chenin Blanc from South Africa in this collection, broadening the range with a crisp, food-friendly white. The Malbecs pair naturally with grilled or roasted red meat, empanadas, and hard cheeses, while the Chenin Blanc suits roast chicken, pork, and richer seafood dishes.
