Vincent Ricard

The Ricard family have grown vines on the south-facing slopes of the Cher River in Touraine for generations, with Vincent the first to make his own wine — his 17 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Malbec producing wines of real terroir specificity. His wines have enough structure and individuality to have once got him into trouble with the authorities for being 'atypical' — a badge of honour from Wines Direct's perspective.
