Pauline Dietrich
Pauline Dietrich is the second generation of her family to make wine at Château Haut Rian, but her pedigree as a vigneron goes back much further. Her parents, Michel and Isabelle Dietrich, come from traditional winemaking backgrounds. Michel's family are winemakers from Alsace, and Isabelle's ancestors are an old Champagne family. Before starting Château Haut Rian in 1988, Pauline's father set off to build on his family winemaking experience and oenological qualifications, spending seven years working in an Australian winery. This diverse experience in the distinct regions of Alsace and Australia made Michel a very skilful artisan. It's this skill that allows Château Haut Rian to produce a range of meticulously made wines at a great price.
