The San Pedro family has been making artisan wine in Laguardia, Alava La Rioja, for more than 500 years. The name has been traced back through ecclesiastical records to the late 1500's. All this means there is steep history to be tasted in every San Pedro made wine.
Carlos San Pedro, the owner and winemaker, considers himself first and foremost a farmer and vine-grower. He is adamant that only great fruit can produce great wines. The vineyard is 45 hectares planted with Tempranillo and Graciano. The combination of old vines and perfect conditions of altitude and soil provide the raw materials required to make excellent wine.
