By using our website and buying wine from us you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions as set out below.

It is our policy to not sell alcohol to anyone under the age of eighteen in accordance with the law. By placing an order with us you are confirming you are over eighteen. If the wine you purchase is a gift then the recipient must also be over eighteen.
Customer Promise On Quality
If you purchase wine on our site and you are unhappy with the quality or simply do not like the wine, we will refund you for the wine that has not been opened and remains in saleable condition on its return. (See returns policy).
If your wine should not arrive in reasonable condition you should notify us as soon as possible. If the wine is visibly damaged on delivery you should refuse delivery and request that the wine is returned to us and we will replace it free of charge when we are notified of this by you. (Please see delivery information below to see how you can minimise the risk of breakages when you order).
Wine is an agricultural product and although we do our best to avoid it, at times a wine or stated vintage may become unavailable. In the event that you have ordered a Selected Case or Gift Case we will substitute the ordered wine with a wine of similar or higher quality and price at no extra cost to you. In instances when you have ordered from our Wine List and the wine in question is six bottles or more we will do our best to contact you to ask would you like to choose something else or wait until the wine becomes available. Please note that current vintages are displayed in both the title and vintage field in the wine description. Vintages shown on both label and bottle shots of wines may not be representative of current vintage.
The prices for goods displayed for sale on the Site are as displayed on the Site, and are inclusive of VAT and Duty at rates valid as of time of purchase. Additional charges include delivery fees only, and these prices are clearly marked on the 'Checkout' page, and advertised on the ‘Delivery’ page. All prices are quoted in Euro. They include VAT and are per bottle or per case as marked. We do not accept responsibility for typographical errors. Prices can change at any time without notice.
By completing and submitting the electronic order form on the site, you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.
By making that offer to purchase goods, you are also authorising Wines Direct and any payment processor used by the company to pre validate the Debit or Credit card presented for payment for the full value of the goods and related service charges contained in your basket. Your card will not be charged until the offer to purchase has been accepted by Wines Direct and the goods have been dispatched by us or 3rd parties acting on under our instruction.
We will confirm acceptance of your order by email. This confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide on your order details. Whether or not you receive an email, our acceptance of your order will create a legally binding contract between us. We reserve the right not to supply you at our discretion.
Minimum Order & Packing
The minimum order for delivery from our Wine List is six bottles which may be mixed.
We will pack your order in specially constructed plain cardboard boxes, unless a gift box is specified in the product description.
Republic of Ireland €7.50 flat rate per address. 1-3 working days delivery (orders received before 1pm). UK & Northern Ireland €18.00 flat rate per address. 4-5 working days delivery.
We do not deliver to any other countries.
If you do wish to send multiple cases to different addresses then each address will be regarded as one drop.
Wines Direct do not seek to make money from our delivery charges and unlike some other sites we do not build delivery charges into the price of our wines. We are actually charged by the courier per case so if you do order multiple cases you benefit as we only charge the one flat rate per delivery address.
Wines Direct offer a nationwide delivery service through the use of Fastway Couriers. Deliveries are typically made within 24 hours; however we only guarantee a 48 hour service. Deliveries do not take place on weekends, operating only Monday to Friday. For all orders placed between 13:00 Friday and Sunday, delivery will only take place on Tuesday.
Goods must be received by a person 18 years of age or older. Where any of our drivers are in doubt as to the age of the person receiving the goods, they reserve the right to request proof of age and / or retain the goods until they can be received by a person of or above the legal age to purchase alcohol.
Please contact us if you have not received your wine within three working days and we will track it for you.
At peak times, particularly Christmas, your wine may take longer to arrive so we do ask you to place your orders as early as possible to avoid disappointment. If you do have any special requirements regarding delivery please contact us and we will do our best to facilitate you.
Deliveries are made during business hours (usually between 9 AM and 5 PM) and somebody must be present to take delivery and sign for it. If no one is home at the time of delivery a slip will be left with the courier's contact number on it for you to arrange a convenient time to receive or collect the wine. Please note we are unable to arrange for the courier to deliver wine outside business hours. If you think you (or the recipient) won't be home to accept the wine you can choose to have it delivered to a business address. It is mandatory that a contact number is provided for all delivery addresses.
Cancellation Of Orders, Returns & Refunds
You can cancel your order at any stage up to the point of dispatch at no charge. Simply contact us by phone on 0818 579 579 / +353 44 934 0634 from outside Ireland or email firstname.lastname@example.org. When contacting us, please provide us with your order number, as per displayed on your order confirmation.
You are entitled to a cooling-off period of 7 working days, which begins on the day after you receive delivery of your order. During the cooling-off period, you may cancel your order for any reason. Upon cancellation, we will make the necessary arrangements to facilitate the return of the order and will reimburse you within 30 days. While we are more than happy to help if you wish to return goods that are not faulty or damaged, you will be responsible for any costs incurred in returning the goods.
In the unfortunate case of goods being faulty or damaged in transit, Wines Direct offer the choice of either a replacement or a full refund including any delivery charges incurred. Simply contact us by phone or email (details above) and we’ll take care of the rest!
Online Gift Voucher
Wines Direct gift vouchers are available to be spent online at www.winesdirect.ie (Online Voucher) or in our Mullingar shop (Shop Voucher).
To redeem a Wines Direct online gift voucher, shop as usual on our website and proceed to checkout. During checkout you’ll be asked to enter the code for each voucher you wish to redeem. After entering the gift voucher code(s), your order will be automatically updated with credit to the value of the voucher(s). If there’s any balance to pay, you can use a debit or credit card in the usual way. If you do not spend the full value of the voucher(s), the remaining credit will be stored on your winesdirect.ie account and can be used towards your next purchase on our website. Please note that vouchers are valid for one year from the original date of issue.
Online gift vouchers can be used only once, are redeemable only on www.winesdirect.ie and cannot be used in our Mullingar shop.

Shop Gift Voucher
To redeem a Wines Direct shop voucher, bring the voucher/s with you to our Mullingar shop, and your voucher(s) will be credited against any purchases you make. If you do not spend the full value of the voucher(s), we will issue an amended voucher for the remaining value which can be used towards your next purchase in the shop. Please note that vouchers are valid for one year from the original date of issue.
Shop gift vouchers are redeemable only in the Wines Direct shop, 49 Lough Sheever Corporate Park, Mullingar, Co Westmeath. Open Monday – Saturday, 11am – 7pm, and cannot be redeemed online at www.winesdirect.ie.

Wines Direct will use its reasonable skill and care in making sure that the Site is available to you on a continual basis. However, because of the number of sources from which Wines Direct obtains the Content and because of the nature of the Internet, Wines Direct does not give you any other warranties. In particular, you should not take the accuracy or availability of the information for granted and Wines Direct makes no warranty that the Site is free from infection by viruses or anything else that has contaminating or destructive properties.
Limitation Of Liability
In respect of the Content that is available on the Site, Wines Direct will use its reasonable endeavours to resolve faults. You agree that Wines Direct will not be responsible for any losses (other than damages for death or personal injury resulting from Wines Direct negligence) you may incur as a result of your use or non-use of that Content.
Modifications To Website Content
In endeavouring to improve the Site and services offered, Wines Direct reserve the right at all times to make changes to the Content, including these Terms & Conditions. Prices and products are subject to change without notification. You will be subject to the policies and Terms & Conditions in place at the time of your visit to the Site.
Security & E-commerce Gateway
Your security and peace of mind are of the greatest importance to Wines Direct. We endeavour to take all responsible steps to protect your personal information.
Any sensitive data (including personal data and payment information) you send us from your computer is securely encrypted and protected using Internet standard encryption technology known as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This process scrambles any sensitive data you transmit to us, preventing it from being intercepted during transmission.
There is no specific time limit applying to your access and use of the site. However, Wines Direct reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access and use at any time. It may exercise the right with or without notice.
You may not assign, sub-licence or otherwise transfer this Agreement or your rights of access to the Site.
Failure by either party to exercise any right or remedy under this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy
Irish law will apply to this Agreement and both you and Wines Direct agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts. All contracts that result from the use of this website are concluded in English.
Relevant legislation governing these Terms & Conditions is the Sales of Goods (Supply of Services) Act, 1980, the Consumer Information Act, 1978, the Electronic Commerce Act, 2000, the EU Directive on Distance Selling, SI 207 of 2001 and SI 68 of 2003, the Data Protection (Amendment) Act, 2003 and the Copyright & Related Act, 2000.
