Rockstar Reds - 6 Bottle

I like big wines, and I cannot lie! Even though there is an increased demand for lighter wines. There is still a joy that you get from big, smoky and full wines on blast. All of the wines chosen for this case are showstopping powerful red wines sure to strike a chord.
1x Silvano Bolmida 'Bussia' - Barolo DOCG, Italy
Silvano recognised the excellent soil his father, who sold to other producers, had in Bussia, and began to make his own wine in the tractor shed in 1999. He believes that soil is crucial to Nebbiolo. Harvested in mid October, fermented naturally for a month, then aged on lees for a year in barrique, followed by two years in both large tonneaux and barrique and further fined for 14 months in bottle before release, ready to drink. Silvano Bolmida enjoys the Barolo at this stage, which he calls its 'harmonious youth'.
1x Susana Balbo Signature - Malbec
"This is about dark fruit complexity, lifted by spice notes of cloves and nutmeg. the tannins are stunning, fine-grained, giving a beautiful texture. A lesson in elegance."
97 Points (Outstanding) Decanter Magazine
1x Guerinda 'El Maximo'
Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Navarra DO, Spain
"A brilliant discovery here in the form of a Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah Blend from Navarra with lovely complexity and a tantalising aroma of violets. Deep, dark and fascinating and a bit of a bargain at the price." Tom Doorley, Irish Daily Mail
1x Coriole Redstone - McLaren Vale, South Australia
Redstone Shiraz is produced from three different plots, each contributing distinct characteristics and giving complexity to the final blend. Redstone refers to the local ironstone so prevalent in the soils and buildings of McLaren Vale, giving richly coloured and textured wines. Aged in seasoned French oak for 12 months, this is a balanced and very drinkable style.
1x Domaine des Remizières - Crozes-Hermitage AOC, France
One of the true family-run domaines in Hermitage. Hand-harvested from gobelet or bush vines. Natural yeast and ferment and aged 15 months élevage in 600-litre oak barrels. It’s a medium-bodied, fruit-forward example of Syrah, marked by bright cherries and peppery spice. Fresh and crunchy in style. An easy qua, with some tarry and black olive notes on the finish.
1x Tahbilk - Nagambie Lakes, Victoria (Organic methods)
As with the Shiraz, this is fermented in the original, 155-year-old large oak vats, followed by some time in smaller French and American oak barrels. The result is a precise and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, not over-extracted, with an excellent balance of fruit, tannin and alcohol. A real show stopper!
