Mendoza, Mendoza, Argentina
Reddish colour alive with the immediate aromas of plum and bramble. The contribution of Malbec sweet tannins added to the delicacy of Merlot, result in an elegant yet wonderfully powerful and gutsy wine. This wine has a hint of clove spice right to the end.

Four generations of the Roca family have turned a passion for wine into a lifestyle. Alfredo and Gladys Roca, along with their children, Alejandro, Graciela, and Carolina are involved in each step of the oenological and vinicultural direction and always with a commitment to the quality and search for excellence in their wines.
Alfredo and Gladys started the winery when their children were small. They are very proud as they see all three children dedicated to the wine with the same enthusiasm and passion. Alejandro is President of the company; Graciela handles the commercial sector, and Carolina handles exports and administrative.
In the Mendoza region, the Roca family currently farm nearly 260 acres in San Rafael. Mendoza is Argentina’s most important wine region, responsible for two-thirds of the country’s overall wine production. Located on the eastern side of the Andes Mountains along the Chilean border, vineyards in Mendoza are at some of the highest altitudes in the world. At altitudes of 2,300 to 2,600 feet above sea level, Roca’s vines produce unparalleled cool-climate wines.
"Grown by a family estate in Mendoza (and imported by family run Wines Direct), this is a bargain and has nice depth and richness for the price - the addition of Merlot softening out some of the edges - Blackberry and blackcurrant fruits with a spicy edge. Wines Direct have a nice selection from Argentina, watch for the Crios range from winemaker Susana Balbo"
