Paquito El Chocolatero is a well-made Monastrell, rounded off with some lovely Garnacha. It is fresh with aromas of crushed red fruits and some spice appearing in the foreground. The aroma follows on with an extra note of dark chocolate.

Celler la Muntanya is completely different from all our other winemakers. They’re not a family vineyard handed down from generation to generation. Nor are they a small, single producer who has grown successful by making great wine. Instead, Celler la Muntanya is a Microvineyard.
Celler la Muntanya is the fulcrum for a community of winemakers surrounding the village of Muro de Alcoi near Alicante. These tiny vineyards and smallholdings are owned individually, but managed and vinified as an ensemble through Celler la Muntanya. Together, the winemakers behind Celler la Muntanya work to recover derelict vineyards, preserve local grape varietals, and sustain the local winemaking culture. Celler la Muntanya is sponsored by the Slow Food movement’s Valencia chapter and has a fourfold ambition: to be environmentally, socially, culturally, and economically profitable.
