Ecommerce Specialist

Wines Direct is a family-run wine company located in the heart of Ireland. We’re looking to expand our Branding & Communications Department and want to hire a talented e-Commerce Specialist. The role will be Full-Time in our Mullingar office

The Ecommerce Specialist’s goal will be to maximise revenues by analysing sales data, reporting performance, identifying growth opportunities and resolving issues to drive top-line growth and to execute the commercial e-commerce plan for Wines Direct. You will be working closely with internal stakeholders from different teams, including retail, digital marketing, customer service, external partners, B2B and logistics.


The Role:

Manage end-to-end website experience

Create personalised on-site content which is SEO optimised

Optimise listings and merchandising, and assess product performance across online retailers

Define and agree promotional plans with Department Managers.

Strong communication, organisational and multi-tasking skills

Monitor and report on KPIs using internal and 3rd party tools

Work alongside the Brand & Communications team to deliver online sales KPI’s and periodically review what’s working across the sites and make recommendations based on real data analysis

Analyse and present results of online activities and make recommendations for improvements

Manage the end-to-end website experience and create personalised on-site content that is SEO-optimised and supports customers in all phases of the purchase journey through the site

In conjunction with the Department Managers, project manage new initiatives and brand launches and promotion cycle as well as new season launches

Be responsible for ensuring new product setup using relevant product info and visual content when appropriate to create a market leading customer UX and UI

Optimise the usability, design, content and conversion of the platforms

Create, optimise and report on Website performance

Produce sales performance reports

Work closely with Department Managers to ensure they generate sufficient exposure to achieve shared company goals



3+ years experience in ecommerce with a particular focus on online retailing

Display an in-depth understanding of web analytics, SEO, conversion optimization, marketing analytics/attribution, merchandising and ecommerce best practices.

Website merchandising experience as well as knowledge of product management systems

Ability to multitask and deliver to deadlines

Proficient with third party analytics and insight tools
