Grechetto is a grape usually found in parts of Orvieto. Fermentation in stainless steel with wild yeast, and resting on lees in stainless steel until bottling. Fresh, intense, citrusy and slightly fruity nose with a touch of spice and fine nut flavours. Well-balanced and rounded with a robust and long finish.

Passion, respect, love. These are the three forces which drive Emma and Robert Di Filippo in their daily lives. Di Filippo is a real success story on the Umbrian wine scene, the fruit of two generations of winemakers who have passionately dedicated themselves to the land with a vision of organic and biodynamic cultivation.
Di Filippo comprises 30 hectares, overlooking Assisi, resting on sun-drenched hills between Torgiano and Montefalco, in the heart of Umbria. A tradition of cultivation which respects nature, with the firm belief of constant balance between man, soil, flora and fauna led them to their E.U. Regulations Organic Certification in 1994. Since then, organic cultivation has become a force of habit, as well as a good technique for conserving the fertility of the soil for future generations.
In 2009 they had the idea of introducing draught horses because their treading the ground between the vines significantly reduces compacting of the soil compared with tractors, which inevitably
destroy the soil structure and reduce its fertility.
Di Filippo's conviction in the vineyard of low yield and harvesting at the right moment of maturation results in high-quality grapes and excellent wine. Thanks to their understanding of the soil and the vines, and the meticulous hand-pruning of the individual plants, they are able to bring grapes to the winery which satisfy them and produce wine that satisfies us.
