Classic, and expertly-made, white Bordeaux. On the nose there are subtle hints of peach and mango, with white flower and citrus aromas. Fresh yet multi-layered on the palate; there is a discreet oak influence with bountiful fruit flavours. Deliciously elegant and easy to drink.

The renown of Château Sainte-Marie goes back several centuries, when the owner used to supply the Abbaye de la Sauve Majeure (one of the most ancient abbeys in France, located just 4 km from the Château).
Set right in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, this magnificent estate is located in an excellent geographical position. The south-facing vineyard stretches over two very sunny hilltops which are among the highest points in the Gironde region. Old vines with low yields, including a one hundred-year-old parcel of Semillon, guarantee top quality production.
The Dupuch family believe that wine is a history of time, from the planting of the vines, through every year's harvest, to the time needed to make the wine, and allow it to develop, to grow in the barrels. In industrial production, many things can be done to speed up and regularise the process, but at Chateau Sainte Marie, they believe the most important virtue is patience
The abundant variety of terroirs provides scope for selection that is worthy of very great wines. Our quest to enhance this variety led us to search beyond the geographical boundaries of the estate for satellite plots several kilometres apart. Thanks to thorough geological characterisation of candidate plots, we have succeeded in combining plots with complementary soil types:
