Le Petit Balthazar Blanc
Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc
Vin de Pays d'Oc IGP, Languedoc, France
Food Pairing
Viognier and Sauvignon make the perfect couple in this crisp and refreshing white. Lush yet lively. Smooth yet sprightly.
Pierrick Harang makes wines in partnership with local growers. Having qualified as an oenologist in Montpellier, his mission was to make great wine with the best fruit available. The concept is simple; to make wines naturally lower in alcohol without sacrificing flavour. Jancis Robinson reckons Pierrick's wines are 'the most successful wines with deliberately reduced alcohol that I have come across.'

Pierrick Harang is a passionate young wine maker from Brittany. Pierrick owns no vineyards but having qualified as the top graduate at the Oenology and research centre in Montpellier he has used his undoubted talent by making his wine from fruit purchased from growers he has a close working relationship with.
The Le Petit Balthazar wines are innovative in that they are of great quality, low in alcohol and a great price. With low alcohol comes a lower calorie count, 87 calories per glass, which is approximately 20% less than an average glass of wine. The lower alcohol has been achieved naturally without any technical intervention.
"Naturally light in alcohol, and perfect for summer drinking, this white blend combines the lime and grapefruit crispness you expect from Sauvignon Blanc and is rounded out with delicious flavours of apricot, nectarine and tropical fruits from the Viognier."
