Copywriter & Social Media Editor (Wine)

As our Copywriter & Social Media Editor, you will be an agile and efficient writer playing a key, creative, role in our fast-paced online marketing department. This is a role that demands the ability to create fresh, relevant content and work to strict deadlines. You'll be able to act with purpose and work collaboratively to help bring our products to life across various mediums. You will be in charge of copy and supporting content for the company’s websites, catalogues, social media, emails, some advertisements, POS, training materials, presentations and other endeavors. It involves building great relationships with your colleagues in all departments.

The Role: 
Copywriter & Social Media Editor responsibilities

•    Work closely with online team to produce and develop product, campaign and other content for both online and offline publications
•    Monitor social media channels
•    Create consistent and engaging copy across social media channels
•    Compose and take ownership of blog posts
•    Support and provide expert eyes for all relevant digital output
•    Monitor and update website copy
•    Identify opportunities for content development based on events and  topical news feeds
•    Performs other responsibilities as required

The Candidate:
The person we seek is a creative professional who thrives in a fast paced, high pressure environment where handling multiple tasks and projects is the norm, not the exception.  This person is an experienced copywriter who responds positively to being constantly challenged to improve the business both in terms of quality and engagement.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess many of the following qualities
•    a passion for food and wine is essential
•    a 3rd level qualification
•    WSET Certification
•    experience of creating dynamic, interactive content in advertising, public relations, online marketing or similar environments
•    minimum of 2 years relevant experience operating within a multi-channel retailer
•    proven excellence in research and writing skills with the ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures
•    intuitive understanding of what makes content interesting
•    strong copywriting, grammatical and communication skills
•    online experience preferably within retail
•    self-motivated and enthusiastic
•    be a good team player
•    expertise with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite preferred

Salary negotiable depending on experience
