Mourvedre

Grown in Rhone and Provence and known is Monastrell in Spain, Mourvedre is a meaty, full-bodied red wine with explosions of red fruit and black pepper. The grape is commonly used in red blends since it is known for creating tannic wines with high levels of alcohol, though it is also vinified monovarietally.
