Margherita and her brother Arrigo are the third generation of the Bidoli family to make wines in their striking winery in Friuli. Recycling the materials from the defunct brick factory they converted in 2002, they have created a distinctive cellar and winemaking facility which combines functionality with style.
The original ovens used to bake the bricks, with their combination of temperature retention and breathability are the perfect environment in which to store and age the wines. The Bidoli family are committed to making really good wine at an approachable price, and make a range of wines suitable to many budgets.
The facilities in the winery are bang up to date, in contrast to their ancient surroundings. This mirrors the ethos of the family: to use modern technology alongside traditional winemaking methods.
